Nils Gottfried is Senior Sales Manager for BHS Corrugated GmbH. He holds a degree in Printing Technologies and has over thirty years of experience in the Graphic Arts industry. Before joining BHS Corrugated in 2021, Nils was Product Marketing Manager for Fujifilm Graphics Europe portfolio of Packaging and Wide Format InkJet solutions and worked for GMG Color a leading colour management software company. He worked as well for the Smurfit Kappa Group, as an engineer for print-related projects at the corrugator and converting.
I am Co-Founder and CEO in KENTO DIGITAL PRINTING, a company in digital printing for packaging industry.
Prior to a period as independent consultant specialized in packaging, I was Packaging Business Development Director with EFI, a leading software and hardware manufacturer of industrial inkjet printing equipment with headquarters in Silicon Valley. I was in charge of marketing and product development of the industrial inkjet printers for corrugated packaging and displays. This new technology is changing the packaging industry around the world.
Previously I was leading operations of Europac in Morocco as Country Manager: project leader of a greenfield integrated corrugated plant and managing a converting site in Tangier.
Prior to that, as Europac France Packaging Division Country Manager I managed 5 corrugated plants all over France with more than 700 employees and a turnover of 200 million euros.
I have previous experience in the packaging industry since I have worked for Saica group as General Manager of its plant in Valencia and I was owner and CEO of Cartalsa, manufacturer of luxury packaging.
I worked in food industry for 3 years as general manager of Delibreads - Grupo Jose Baringo, manufacturer of ready to cook food and bakery products for the largest retailer in Spain and Portugal.
Sean Smyth has spent over 25 years in the industry in senior technology positions for a variety of print businesses across the supply chain, in hands on and consultancy roles. He helps companies make money through the appropriate use of technology.
Sean has a deep knowledge of the global print market, and a key member of the team providing quantitative market data and forecasts for the printing, paper and packaging industry. He authors off-the-shelf market studies and provides strategic consultancy services to a range of clients across the value chain.
Sean has a strong background in appropriate application of technology to print, implementing digital print systems, MIS and workflows to take time and cost out of the print supply chain. In 1994 he became Technical Director of Rexam, where the first colour digital presses in the UK were installed and he has extensive experience of digital printing. He has written many books and market studies on the future, print technology and digital print, including Smithers' flagship title "The Print & Production Manual" and the "Future of Global Print Markets".
Independent print consultant with over forty years’ experience in the printing industry. Adviser on business strategy related to analogue and digital printing as well as the provision of data driven analysis relevant to a range of activities including business development and M&A. Writer and commentator on the printing industry, and subject matter expert for Smithers Information Ltd. Specialist areas include packaging, industrial printing including textile decoration, and sustainability in the printing industry. In depth knowledge of most print processes including digital printing, flexo, thermal printing, screen and offset lithography.
As a member of the Esko corporate marketing team, Jan De Roeck (°1966) leads a team of marketeers developing outbound messaging and content, manages industry relationships and coordinates market research activities.
With his parents running a local print business, Jan was literally raised amidst ink, paper and printing presses. He holds a bachelor degree in printing and pre-press, and a specialization in graphic design. He complemented his graphic arts education with an Advanced Management Program at the Ghent-Leuven Vlerick Business School in 2007.
Jan began his career in 1989 in the customer services department at Barco, a Belgian technology group at the basis of what Esko is today. Through various product management and product marketing assignments, Jan developed a particular interest, acumen and expertise in prepress solutions for packaging and label production. Jan is highly respected and trusted for his insight in the graphic arts industry and his level of understanding of customer workflows and market requirements. He is a frequently asked speaker and moderator at various international industry events and trade conferences and represents Esko in various trade associations.
Carlos Lahoz (Barcelona, Spain) has been working in HP for over 20 years in very different positions. With a technical background in engineering, he started in R&D where quickly became the regulations and environmental manager for Large format and 3D printing business globally. His technical background helped him move to the next role, as global sustainability marketing for all the Industrial and 3D businesses of HP. After a period in a couple of incubation initiatives (Textiles, Creator economy,…), he’s now responsible for the industrial print sustainability strategy, with the ambition of driving industrial printing into reduced emissions and a net positive impact.
